Your Mission: Architecting a Revolution (Based on Data)

As our System Engineer, you are the technical architect and the guardian of the “why.” You don’t just design systems; you prove them. You are the crucial link between fundamental science and a market-ready product.

• Architect & Define: You will deliver the critical design requirements for our revolutionary dynamic window, not based on guesses, but on solid experimental data you generate yourself.
• Be the Scientist: You get your hands dirty. You will personally design and perform in-depth experiments to uncover the truth, understand complex processes, and validate every design choice.
• Translate Complexity: You quickly grasp complex issues, identify roadblocks, and provide the practical, data-driven information the entire organization needs to make critical decisions.
• Own the Big Picture: You guard the technical scope, expertly balancing conflicting requirements like budget, time, functionality, and manufacturability to create a successful product.
• Document & Manage Knowledge: You will systematically document all experimental results, concepts, and designs, building the technical foundation of our company.

You are:

• A Practical Scientist: Result-oriented and hands-on. You believe in data and perform the experiments needed to get the right answers.
• A Master Communicator: You can explain highly complex information in a clear, down-to-basics way to all stakeholders (technical and non-technical).
• Deeply Analytical: You have an excellent problem-solving mindset and a proven, structured way of working (especially in Design of Experiments).
• A Natural Owner: You are highly responsible, accountable, and take true ownership of the technical big picture.
• Travel Ready: You have the willingness and availability to travel when needed.

What You Absolutely Need

✅ At least 5 years of experience as a System Engineer in a high-tech company, working on complex systems.
✅ A Master’s degree or PhD in Physics, Engineering, Optics, Electronics, or a related field.
✅ A strong experimental mindset and a proven, hands-on way of working.
✅ Deep understanding of fundamental physics (especially particle dynamics and interaction).
✅ Strong knowledge of both electronics and mechanics.
✅ Strong experience in physics modeling.
✅ Fluent in English (a must-have); Dutch is a plus.

Bonus Points for: Experience with modern manufacturing technologies.
